Privacy Policy

Summary

GrowLeaf is a gardening app that helps you plan plantings, track yields, and diagnose plant problems. We collect only what we need to run the service, we never sell your data, and you can delete your account and all associated data at any time.

What we collect

• Account info: email address and (optionally) a display name and country, used to sign you in and tailor planting dates to your climate.
• Garden data: plants you add, sown dates, care events, notes, and yields — stored so we can show your schedule across devices.
• Diagnosis photos: when you use Plant Doctor, the photo is uploaded to our secure storage and sent to our AI provider to generate the diagnosis. Photos are retained on your account so you can review past diagnoses, and you can delete them at any time.
• Usage events: minimal logs (page views, errors) used to keep the app working reliably.
• Payment info: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

What we do NOT do

• We do not sell your data to anyone.
• We do not share your garden data, photos, or email with advertisers or data brokers.
• We do not run third-party advertising or tracking pixels for ad networks.
• We do not access your device's primary photo library — Plant Doctor only sees the specific image you choose to upload.

Who we share data with

We only share data with a small set of infrastructure providers needed to run the app:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
• Stripe — payment processing for GrowLeaf Pro.
• Google & OpenAI (via Lovable AI Gateway) — only the Plant Doctor photo and the prompt context are sent, to generate the diagnosis.
• Open-Meteo — anonymized location coordinates only, to fetch weather forecasts for care reminders.

Your rights

You can export, correct, or delete your data at any time from Settings, or by emailing us. Account deletion permanently removes your plants, care history, diagnoses, and uploaded photos.

Children

GrowLeaf is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
